Just shortlisted as finalists at British Parking Awards

31 August 2022

Just is pleased to announce that it is a finalist, in partnership with TJA Associates, at the British Parking Awards 2022. The team has been shortlisted for the Parking in the Community Award for its research into the links between vehicles with multiple unpaid parking offences and other types of criminal activity or anti-social behaviour.

The British Parking Awards are the premier event in the UK parking calendar. Now in their 20th year, the awards recognise the leading examples of car park management, enforcement, design and teamwork. The Parking in the Community Award recognises people working within the parking sector who have engaged with and supported their local communities.

Alan Wood, Strategic Account Direct at Just, commented, “This shortlisting is a key milestone following years of persistent evader and nuisance vehicle research. It demonstrates how parking industry data can be transformed into vital intelligence which can offer a significant information advantage to those tasked with the job of tackling the issue. Working with the team at TJA Associates, who are so passionate and committed to making our roads a safer place for all, is a genuine privilege. Without this dedication we would not have made the statistical link between multiple offenders of parking offences and criminal activity. These findings are now being used to shape a cost-effective national solution which will change the way we manage our vehicle community forever, providing a rich source of valuable intelligence that will deny criminals the use of our roads. I look forward to joining the best and most innovative individuals and organisations in our industry on 16 September - good luck to all the finalists!”

Tim Ashman, Director at TJA Associates added, “We are delighted to hear we are finalists in the 2022 British Parking Awards for our collaborative work with Alan Wood at Just. We look forward attending the award ceremony and good luck to all the finalists!”

The final will take place on 16 September at Royal Lancaster in London.
